Résumé

Sebastian Vogg was born in Marktoberdorf, Germany, in 1991. After his graduation from high school (Jakob-Brucker-Gymnasium, Kaufbeuren, DE) and civilian service on the intensive care unit of the Klinikum Kaufbeuren-Ostallgäu (DE), he joined ETH Zurich in 2011. There, he graduated in the Master’s program Chemical and Bioengineering in 2016. He was scholar of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes (German Academic Scholarship Foundation).

His research project in the group of Prof. Morbidelli was focused on the analysis of proteomics data obtained from micro-bioreactor and pilot scale fermentations of an industrial mAb producing CHO cell line. He carried out his Master’s thesis at MIT, Cambridge, USA, under the supervision of Prof. Stephanopoulos (Laboratory for Bioinformatics and Metabolic Engineering), where he worked on the implementation of a metabolic state control system for the lipid production in yeast Yarrowia lipolytica. Thereafter, he returned to the Morbidelli group to start his PhD studies in the area of integrated continuous downstream processing for the production of therapeutic proteins.
