Résumé
He received his PhD in chemical engineering in 1986 from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 1986 to 1990, he was Assistant Research Professor in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, working on catalytic reaction engineering. During that period, he had also two-year appointment with Prof. M. Morbidelli, as Postdoctoral Fellow in University of Cagliari and Polytechnic of Milano, Italy. In 1988, he received the Chinese National Nature Science Award.
From 1990 to 1999, he joined in Ausimont Company, Montedison Group, Italy, as Senior Chemical Engineer, working in R&D on (1) optimizing existing and developing new-concept gas-liquid and multiphase reactors for solution, emulsion and suspension polymerizations, and (2) developing continuous polymer latex post-treatment (coagulation) processes. After 10-year experience in the polymer industry in Italy, he has come back to the academic since 1999 as Senior Scientist in the group of Prof. Morbidelli, working in the field of colloidal engineering and nanocomposites. He is also Consultant Professor in South China University of Technology, Guest Professor in Southeast University and in South China Normal University, and Industrial Consultant.
